Bud Abbott & Lou Costello snared their place in movie as well as box office history with this era-appropriate wartime comedy as the boys are inducted in the Army. Hilarious hijinx ensue with one terrific comedy gem after another including the "the Drill Routine", "Craps" and the all the marvelous word play gags. The Andrew Sisters make their first co-starring appearance with the duo and prove to be quite spritely during the obligatory musical numbers that were so prevelant in this time period of American cinema. Made a shoe-string of a budget ( even for 1941 - a mere $20,000!! ) Arthur Lubin direct the zaniness admirably and preserves the comic moments brilliantly! For fans of the team , this is a must!!
