Broken Dreams

Actaully did enjoy this film, but for some reason I could not get past Russell Crowes doo???? Although I love Catherine Zeta-Jones, I think she should have had more presence on screen. One scene that I found to be somewhat far fetched, was on the train to Montauk when Mark Walbergh and the campaign manager have their banter back and forth, I found it unbelievable since it was supposedly such a big deal when Walbergh had his high profile trial, that this guy would not have recognized him? Quite the cast of Great Actors, just seemed like movie was produced quickly to make a quick buck.

Couldn't tell it was 21/2 hours long.

Once again, Mark Wahlberg proves himself to be one the of the most talented Hollywood actors in history. This movie was very long, but I couldn't tell because it had my full attention the entire time. He deserves an Oscar for this one.

This film included some of my fave actors/actresses, so I had high hopes. The movie was entertaining and had some intriguing twists along the way. I felt like some of the twists didn't add enough value to the film to have been included; however, they didn't take away from the picture, either. Great performances from Mark Wahlberg and Russell Crowe and supporting cast. Overall, an entertaining movie.

Story line reminded us once again that government officials and politicians just can't be trusted. Mark Wahlberg did the same role as in other movies, but Russell Crowe did do a nice change by being the crooked politician. Maybe better to rent than see in theaters.

The storyline is actually well conceived. It's the screenplay that puts you to sleep. It's one of those films where there is no suspense. It tries to deliver on this upper level detective drama and it just falls flat. Waste of talent and time. Rent Contraband instead.
