Break ke baad is a good break from the usual bollywood masala

Break ke baad is a fast paced light entertainment movie. It is devoid of the Bollywood masala of love triangle, villains, violence. Yet it is a fast paced nice love story. The eruption of the dormant possessiveness both Abhay and Aliya have within them for each other has been portrayed very well. The phases through which Abhay goes to reach maturity and Aliya goes to find out the love that Abhay, her mom and loved ones cherish for her have been depicted nicely through great scripts, dialogues, monologues. The introduction of the various members of the film through item labels and inscriptions on different objects is a nice new feature.
Deepika in the role of Alia particularly acted different emotions very skillfully. She looked fabulous in all different costumes from shorts to convocation robes.

    Nice entertainment.

    Great Entertainment

Is Break ke Baad a milestone in indian cinema?
    No.
Is Break ke baad popcorn entertainment?
    Yes.

I didn't decide to watch the movie because I wantd to be swept off my feet. I was tired from the work week, and needed a getaway. The movie was very entertaining.

Imran Khan weaves himself into the role and we know he does it easily (Jaane Tu). The movie however belongs to Deepika Padukone who delivers her best performance to date - she's funny, sexy, and very believable. The music by Vishal Shekhar is forgettable, but doesn't intrude into the movie experience. The climax is Bollywood at it's bollywood best! All is forgiven in the name of popcorn entertainment!
