Breach
A chilling story of espionage by the worst United States spy in history - and it's all true.
Chris Cooper's depiction sends chills and is worthy of an academy award nomination.

Chris Cooper and Billy Ray at the AERO
Living in Santa Monica one can become a bit spoiled with the access we have to the Industry creatives, as well as jaded by the business of film. However, Wednesday nights screening of "Breach", based on the story of FBI mole Robert Hansenn and the young agent who helped put him behind bars, was a real treat. Following the film director Billy Ray and the film's star Chris Cooper showed up for some Q & A, and these two men represented the better angels of Hollywood. Cooper described aspects of his work and his processes saying "he still feels like a beginner and that he has so much to learn" and his "greatest accomplishment is "not knowing what his fellow actors will say whether it's the first, fifteenth, or thirtieth take." Ray also spoke sincerely about his admiration for Cooper, his research with the FBI, and the challenges of being a young filmmaker, "I could teach Chris everything I know about directing in two weeks, but I could never learn what Chris knows in a lifetime." Bravo

A great movie...
I felt like I was watching actual footage of what happened. Very well done. The only thing I found far-fetched was how this highly trained spy, was duped by some punk intel-analyst when he had taken down so many hard-core russian spies, etc. Unless this is what happened in real life, I found it very hard to believe. There were questions that I would have asked as a civilian that aroused my suspicion, but this trained FBI agent didn't even think to ask basic questions like what are you doing praying in my office. Why are you so anxious for me to leave and get my picture taken? And that story about stopping at the Catholic bookstore was such and obvious load of crap, I couldn;t believe he fell for it. Overall, though it was excellent. Most of what he accused the Gov't of was true. Good flick.

Breach
Really incredible true story. Not really incredible acting but worth a go because of the story--- take it as a history lesson. And well, Ryan Phillippe is good looking.
