Slow Start Good Finish

The subject says it all. It took awhile to develop the characters and story, but once things got rolling, it got me (age 70), my spouse (same age) and our twin granddaughters (age 11) fully engaged. It won't be a classic, but it was certainly worth seeing and, more important, it passed the "I like it Poppy" test.

I saw Brave on Saturday night. I loved it. It was funny, thoughtful, and beautiful animation (the hair and the scenery). I love the original story. I am tired of hearing how it isn't as good as Toy Story or Monster's Inc. Those were different stories. While the other two stories are my favorites, this movie should be look at by its own merit. Go see it.

This film was amazing and the 1 hr. 40 minute run time flew by in the blink of an eye! The characters are all solid, the story line is touching, but funny and I highly recommend it! Go see it... run, don't walk!

Took the kids...

This is a beautiful movie visually. I enjoyed the entire story, as did my adult companion; but we took a 4- and a 5-year-old who had difficulty understanding the storyline. The younger child was also afraid of the "evil" character and mild fighting scenes. I explained the story as the movie went along, but it was still a bit complicated for children that young. We adults loved, loved, loved it though -- again, it was beautifully done.
