Don't listen to the nay-sayers, beautifully done Pixar movie - the animation makes you wish you were in Scotland! Good story and love the cute brothers...girl power!

I saw Brave the other night with my daughter and enjoyed the movie. I found the movie to be entertaining. Before seeing the movie, I heard mixed reviews and that the movie was a bit controversial. I think the overall story line was positive, that girls are strong and should be allowed to develop their interests. Also, the movie reinforced that mothers and daughters may have conflict, but that mothers have valuable wisdom to pass along to daughters. The imagery was terrific. I didn't rate this movie must go because I am not crazy about magic and spells. But, I must say it was a minor part of the movie. Bottom line is that I thought this was a family movie.

I have 2 5yr old girls and they loved the movie though they were a little scared during the bear scenes. They laughed alot and really enjoyed it.
My husband and I thought it lacked something but couldn't pinpoint what. Still enjoyable and the movie should do well. We will purchase the movie when it comes out. :)

Well, first of all I liked the movie. My wife and daughter liked it a lot more than me, so maybe I'm over analyzing everything. But I know when I left the theater after seeing Up, or Wall-ee, or Toy Story, I was left with a lot of themes to think about. That's what I expect when I see a Pixar movie. But here, we have the Disney-young-and-fiery-female-lead (think Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Rapunzel, Mulan, Pocahontas) model trying to break free of parental authority and be the free spirit they are meant to be. So we have a pedestrian, road-worn script and direction stuffed into the gorgeous palette of Pixar animation and setting. The voice talents were fine. I'm a fan of Kelly Macdonald, and could listen to her read the telephone book. But I didn't leave the theater in wonder, like I usually do after seeing a Pixar movie. I liked the movie for what it was, and I truly appreciate the beautiful job on the animation. But I found the story lacking.

This was another Disney Pixar triumph!! A wonderfully animated, entertaining story with a great life lesson built in!! In a world of Reality TV, projecting all sorts of vulgarities into the minds of our chldren this wonderful tale speaks of the struggle parents face with their children growing into young adults. Love, respect and family wins in the end!!
PS..My 8 year old daughter LOVED IT!!
