This is a movie for all ages, it has a great story line. Exciting, encourging and funny. I am sure I will buy the Blue Ray DVD.

Brave is not the best effort to come out of Pixar but it is one worth seeing. The ground breaking use of a female lead character could be the introduction of more down the road. The story lacked that killer emotional moment that would move you to tears. This is what we have come to expect so the bar is high!

I really wanted to like this movie more than I did. My daughter and I were so excited to see it together. Although visually stunning, the story was a big let-down. Pixar has always delivered a great story, rich with dialogue both spoken (Toy Story 3, Finding Nemo) and unspoken (Wall-E) and relational complexities (Toy Stories) but Elinor and Merida's mother-daughter struggle felt very flat. I didn't like either of them very much and therefore didn't care about them in the end. The whole Brother Bear redux felt lazy and uninspired. When I left the theater I felt like Pixar had wasted the opportunity of this beautiful film; it should have been so much more than it was.

Beautifully tells the story of the struggles in a relationship between a daughter as she is discovering herself and fighting for her individuality, and a mom's well intentioned unconditional love. In the end that unconditional love wins binding them together as the fog clears, allowing them to see the beauty in one another and embrace the special bond they have without expectation. Magnificent!

Took granddaughter and grandson to see this movie. We all loved the movie. Pixar - great job. Would highly recommend movie. Some scary previews for younger children, however.
