Proof That Money Can't Buy A Good Movie.
It's a rare thing indeed when a film with an enormous budget, great talent and all the right assets, just can't close the deal with an audience. Yet, here it is. Is this a bad movie? Well, that depends on your threshold for entertainment. Dark, dull, brooding, inconsistent, meandering, lackluster, completely without entertainment value, all would be fair descriptions. Obviously, I didn't enjoy this film and believe me, I tried. Likely you won't ever see this in the dollar bin in the discount store because, and I know it's hard to fathom, no one in their right mind would pay the cost of DVD duplication to market it. I can actually see people returning it to the store for a $1 refund. It's just that bad, not the on screen talent, just the screenplay, direction, story and what passes for a plot. As for paying to see it. I've had nightmares that were more enjoyable. You'll be disappointed.
