Rescued from the desert by Ben Cartwright, young Billy Wilcox (Richard Evans) is hired as a ranch hand at the Ponderosa. Falling in love with Jennifer Yardley (Linda Foster), Billy suddenly breaks off the relationship, displaying inexplicable terror at the sight of Jennifer's lawman father Tom (Richard Eastham.
