Anyone who's the least bit curious of the NY downtown scenes of independent film, art, no wave & early indie rock and hip-hop should see this rare glimpse into NY's post-apocalyptic Lower East Side 1977-1983. Before high-rise condos, investment bankers, and the mallification of Manhattan, there was Jim Jarmusch, Lydia Lunch, Steve Buscemi, Basquiat, Sonic Youth, James Chance and many more. See it.
