If you love New York and are inspired by meeting original people who are living their lives to the fullest see this film. Bill Cunningham is a sincere, and lively lover of life.

An unadorned look at a life which on the surface looks simple and spartan. Yet there is much to think about: the role of fashion in society, in history, in personal validation; the commitment to a single and singular calling; the ability to truly enjoy life. And then there's the wonderful footage of New York and Paris. We thoroughly enjoyed this little film.

If you like Bill Cunningham, fashion, culture, bicycles, photography, documentaries, eccentric people, the wisdom of the aged, or just learning about trends in the world, this movie is great. I went in with very little knowledge of Bill Cunningham and a general bias against fashion, and came out very pleased. It's a very well made documentary and an extremely interesting person as a subject. It powerfully conveys why Bill is beloved by all sorts of people, and delves into his life with an intimate poignancy that would be hard to imagine in another medium.

If you ever feel jaded about living in this crazy city watch this film. Bill Cunningham reminds us with humor and humility that this is a place ful of magic and magical people.
