No Pretty Prayer is a soulful documentary that gets right to the heart of Gloucester's Fort Community. Through interviews, historic photos and a haunting soundtrack, No Pretty Prayer lets the viewer into the lives of those who call "The Fort" home. With the threat of gentrification looming over this part of Gloucester, the film could not have been made at a better time. If the powers that be get their way, then everything changes, but at least there is now a record of what it meant to the people here, growing up and growing old "down the fort."
