    Great Fun!

    by nallin

I went with my grandkids and daughter to see this and we all had fun! Cute without being obnoxiously so, nice story. Good laughs for the adults too.

A touching tribute to fearless Chihuahuas. One bite, one big pain !

Hilarious! A rare movie that empowers Hispanics i.e.; "a mexiCAN not a mexiCAN'T" and "I'm gonna get all Mexican on him!" a quote from "Papi" (George Lopez) when he becomes angry and cries vengence. The songs are great and relative to the movie such as; "I want to be your Hero Baby" by Enrique Iglesias and, "Low Rider" by Earth, Wind and Fire. In my old school days of my neighborhood, I would have said; It's a bad*** movie! Some big time movie critics have trashed the movie but, they are Gringos! They do not truly understand the Hispanic Barrio experience. They are the opinion of Siskel and Ebert when they both trashed "Star Wars", Ha ! Their opinion matters not. Of course there was also the excellent message of being responsible dog owners and of adopting strays. I loved this movie ! Can an oldschool macho guy say all this? Check out the movie, Ese ! May the Force be with Chicanos forever ! . I dedicate this review to my fearless female Chihuahua who passed away 3 years ago.

    Beverly Hills Chihuahua

IT WAS ONE OF THE BEST MOVIES I HAVE EVER SEEN IN THAT PARTICULAR GENRE. IT WAS COMICAL BUT STILL HAD SOME DEPTH. THE HAPPY ENDINGS ALSO ADDED A LOT TO THE MOVIE APPEAL; EVERYBODY LOVES ROMANTIC FINALES WHERE BOY WINS GIRL OR VICE VERSO. IN THIS CASE ALL THE CHARACTERS INVOLVED HAD THEIR HOPES FULFILLED AND LEARNED A THING OR TWO IN THE PROCESS. IT HAS NO AGE RESTRICTION AS FAR AS APPEAL; ONLY THE ABILITY TO LAUGH AND DREAM.. IT IS OF COURSE ABOUT DOGS BUT DOGS WITH VERY HUMAN QUALITIES, BOTH GOOD AND BAD. THEY SHOW THE BEST AND WORST TRAITS EXHIBITED BY HUMANITY AND THE CAPACITY TO LEARN AND CHANGE; WHICH IS OUR GREATEST STRENGTH AS HUMANS. ALL MOVIEGOERS WILL SEE PARTS OF THEMSELVES THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE CAST OF FOUR-LEGGED ACTORS; PRINCESS, BRUTE, HUMBLE SUITOR, STEADFAST FRIENDS, CYNICAL LEADER; AND EVEN A CON-MAN PACK RAT AND A THIEVING IGUANA WITH A CONSCIENCE. ALL SAID IT'S FULL OF LAUGHS AND CINEMATIC -ALLY BEAUTIFUL AS WELL. ENJOY THE SHOW!!!!

    A Doggone Good Time

    by

What do you get when you cross "Homeward Bound", "Fight Club" and "Indiana Jones"? You get a Doggone good time! To me, this movie had a bit of everything in it. The main plot was mostly a "Homeward Bound" style story (with a bit of "Indiana Jones" and "Fight Club", along with a bit of romance), with the main "dog" trying to find her way home after she ges dog-napped. Wrap that around a dog fight ring (which is illegal, by the way), a former Kanine (and a little comedy) and you got a must-see-and-take-your-kids movie. My favorite character was Papi because he didn't give up on his girl, even though she gave up on him (and the fact that he was sort of named after David Ortiz (you know, Big Papi)). My official review: TWO TAILS UP! (I would say thumbs, but dogs don't have them).

My eleven year old daughter and I went to see it and we absolutely love it. There were no sex or violence so I didn't have to cringe at the lovey- dovey parts.

    Best Fun Show in Years

My wife and I saw it, because we own a Chihuahua. We were pleasantly surprised. We loved it. But, not because of the Chihuahuas. Sure, the plot line is thin, but the action is good. You don't have to worry, because you know how it will turn out in the end. It is a fun movie to just sit and enjoy. Don't try and read to much into it, like the movie critics do. It's just an hour and a half of good fun. Kids will really love it.

    Wonderful!

I was real hesitant to go and watch this movie. I thought it would be way too boring. My 12 year-old daughter and I went to see this movie and I could not quit laughing. It was a definite non-thinking movie that made me realize just what it should be like when one invests money in a movie...laugh from the beginning to the end. A real stress relief, a way to relieve a lot of stress! One can't beat laughing. You have to love Drew Barrymore and George Lopez!

    Great time!

    by

Fun, great actors and star cast who's voices are awesome, and the kids love it...great comedy and action, even for my 5 year old daughter. Incredible filming using live animals but they actually speak (LOL) and it was done VERY well.

    "Tiny & Mighty"

I took my 3 nieces ages 4, 8 & 10 and all 3 loved it. I did too. It was a great family movie with a positive message. It had laugh out loud parts and very touching moments as well. The special effects were great! I would love to see it again!

    Two Paws Up!

What a fun movie! My kids were completely entertained & laughed the whole way through - I really enjoyed it as well!

Besides it being great fun, the messages about love, friendship and sticking together through good and bad times really resonate, as well as respecting yourself, finding your inner strength, never giving up and fighting against stereotypes. My kids really picked up on the cute sayings, such as "We're Mexican - not Mexican't" - which I loved too, since we're Mexican - they're already using that one!!

One caveat, there are some scary parts, with regard to a very mean dog and a criminal. While my kids were unaffected, I did hear some kids crying. So, if your child is easily frightened, you might want to rethink watching this movie in a dark theater...

All in all, this movie gets two paws up from our family!!
