New-Gen Bad News Bears Dance In 'Da Hood.
First, this movie is loud. Next, this movie is loud. Most importantly, the editor or camera operators had very short attention spans because all the dance scene shots change about every three seconds, so frequently in fact, that it completely spoils the choreography and all but ruins the dance performances. Were this not bad enough, the angles and distance the camera shots are taken from leave the audience wanting to LEAVE, despite the fact that there are some mighty talented child dancers up there working their hearts out. Were it not for this one fact, I'd advise skipping this altogether. Being a dance flick, nobody actually expects a real screenplay or acting, both of which are also true here. Still, if you like LOUD, throbbing, gut wrenching beats and a virtual mish mash of dance rather than performances, this is your ticket. If you pay an evening ticket price you'll feel ripped off but a matinee, DVD or stream would pass
and if you decide to PASS you'll be glad you did.
