william macy and this new kid steve kaplan are hysterical together. the stuff they pull out is so embarrassingly funny that the laughter was just yanked from my body. this movie is not the kind of stupid funny you're used to with paul rudd 'slappin da bass' and seth rogan smoking weed- i think you might even be able to enjoy this one with your parents or something. pretty much just good clean fun. my user name says it all. go see this.

Although this movie is only so-so, Steven Kaplan is worth seeing. He is clearly a young actor worth meeting in his first full length movie. He IS the part he portrays. His completely believable and sympathetic. William H Macy as his father is good (weird to see him with curly hair) but the part wasn't enough for him. I think that the writing of the movie had its funny moments but overall was too weak for the strong actors in this film.

Great art pic. funny. quirky. hilarious dialogue that perfectly encapsulates the awkwardness that is senior prom. also, great performances from William H. Macy and newcomer Steven Kaplan. I sincerely urge everyone to see this, it's worth every penny.
