Stunning and Powerful Images

Baraka is proof of the power of images without words. Some images are breathtaking, others fascinating and many are simply mesmerizing. But they're not just thrown together at random. Every part of the film connects in some way, and the connections make you see your own world differently, while also opening your eyes to things you may never have seen. The camera work is so subtle and simple that it's easy to not notice the intention Ron Fricke put behind every move of the camera. In a film industry that continuously advances with CGI, Baraka is proof that there is nothing more impressive and jaw-dropping than the real world we are here living on, and the varying cultures and lifestyles of the people who live on it. This film captures all this in a way that no other film has. It's brilliant!

Baraka is a lot like Planet Earth but without dialogue or narration of any kind. It is an extraordinary look at differing cultures, religions, beauty and humanity. Should be a must-see for anyone who strives to better understand our world.
