Expectation overload

I believe being that I was expecting so much I didn't get as much enjoyment out of the movie as I thought I would. That being said I will have to see it again to give a good opinion.

Fun but less accessible and less banter

I liked Age of Ultron but it fell far short of Avengers Assemble. This film is clearly a part of a major franchise. They expect you to have seen all the Marvel movies leading up to it, even Guardians of the Galaxy, which doesn’t even strictly connect. All of the characters are back in name or in person. This is too many, way too many. Having this many sacrifices depth and confuses first time watchers. One of the best things about the first Avengers was the banter between the characters. It was funny and established the mood. The banter in this film was flat, the delivery was clumsy, the sparkle was gone. On the plus side the Avengers have been working together for a while now. They have become a coordinated team and fight well together. The film opens with a good fight scene, and there are multiple high powered action scenes in which they work together smoothly, taking advantage of each other’s strengths and powers. I’m not sure I would carve a marble statue of it but pretty cool.

AMAZING!

This movie was better than the first one. And all of the single movies of each hero on their own! I would see it over and over!

Avengers, Age of Ultron, was so much fun, I can't wait to see it again to catch what I missed roaring around that roller-coaster! It has great action sequences, some beautiful shots and the trademark Whedon wit. And, to quote Loki, we do see that Hawkeye truly "has a lot of heart", The new characters fit in seamlessly and the story lines make perfect sense. Great therapy for real world malaise.
