This movie was made for Austen geeks who can laugh at themselves.
If you love anything Jane Austen related, go, if you highly esteem Jane Austen and think she should be reverenced, than perhaps don't go. I often found myself laughing at some Austen-esque similarities, but more often laughing at how the movie made fun of Austen fans. The acting was so-so, better than a B-movie, with Jennifer Coolidge as 'Miss Elizabeth Charming' making it funny, but at the same time the writing was hit and miss, a little more miss, their was a good scene of banter, but unfortunately too little banter. This movie was made for Austen geeks who can laugh at themselves.
