I like it even better than the first one. They were able to present Rand's long speeches with a few important lines. There were some exciting special effects. Esai Morales makes a good Francisco D'Anconia. It seemed very relevant to today.

The long awaited Part II of Atlas Shrugged does not disappoint the true believer. The cast changed, which could have been weird, but surprisingly didn't detract from the film. In the long run it will tarnish the continuity of the trilogy. Will the cast change yet again for Part III? Part I had slightly better production values but Part II has much more plot as we see a quickening of the incremental progressive destruction of the country. Things are a lot less comfortable for society in Part II and the government continues to make ever expanding grabs of power (sound familiar?). Every Ayn Rand fan will see and enjoy this film.

What a GREAT movie!! We loved Atlas Shrugged Part 2!!!! It is excellent; the kind of movie that you are sorry to see end – wanted to watch more!!
The actors did a great job, the special effects are realistic, and it so reflects what is currently going on in our society. A must see!! We will buy the DVD when it becomes available.
Looking forward to Part 3.
Thank you FANDANGO for making the movie going process so easy!

Follows the book pretty well, but a lot of things had to be updated to keep it current, like the need to have coal(which was in the book)but there ain't nuthin' in the movie that ran on coal. Oh well I don't know how I could have done it differently. The cameo with Sean Hannity was inspiration. The message is the important part. Younger kids wouldn't understand it, probably.

I attended the showing on its first night because I've waited two years to see Part II. I also hoped to be able to spread the word.
Part II was interesting in that the book was updated to more recent events using people known to us from the media. The cast of characters were different from Part I, but the two year interval made that point irrelevant.
I enjoyed the movie and plan to attend it again when it arrives in my area having traveled almost one hour to see it last night. Additionally I plan to purchase the DVD asap.
I highly recommend this movie to anyone but especially those Americans who see the unraveling of the American dream.
