    A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE

Elia Kazan's masterful film production of Tennessee Williams' classic play is amarvel of atmosphere created by excellent set design, lighting and of course rip roaringly great performances by a stellar cast. Vivien Leigh stars as the fragile Blanch Dubois who comes to visit her pregnant sister Stella played by Kim Hunter. She is met with hostile indignation by her husband Stanley played with animalistic intensity by a young marlon Brando.who senses that there is much more to the sotry than what Blanch has divulged about her past and what happened to the family estate. Tense, gripping and wrenchingly dramatic, this movie is in a dimension all its own. A true must-see!!
