This film is well written and directed. I was 33 at the time of this event, so I recall it vividly. The acting is very good and the intensity of the movie holds steady throughout. It has some funny lines as well as several serious moments. I did think that the usage of the F word was extreme. I will not address the political aspects of this movie. This is not the place for that. I will say that I thought the comments of President Carter at the end of the film should have been deleted. I still recommend the film as it is a well done film.

Outstanding Flick, riveting. Every American Citizens needs to see this show just like Saving Pvt Ryan or Miracle, for different reasons, but must see.
It was all I could do at the end of the movie NOT(so I will do it here) to stand up and should "Ambassador Stevens & 3 other Americans are dead" & this administration and our government have done nothing to this date 10.22.2012 about this. They knew about this in real time. No drone attack. No naval landing. The sacrifice of 4 American lives to perpetuate a myth about the Middle East. Shameless!
Sadly, at the end of the movie we have a clip from Carter saying that eventually all the hostages got back and we did it peacefully. What was not said is that the hostages were released because Republican Ronald Reagan was elected President and would not put up with a hostage crisis continuing.
May history repeat itself.

I THOUGHT THE MOVIE WAS EXCELLENT AND IT DESERVED TO BE AWARDED PICTURE OF THE YEAR.. I ALSO THOUGHT BEN AFFLACK SHOULD HAVE BEEN
NOMINATED FOR DIRECTOR AND HE SHOULD HAVE WON THAT AWARD, TOO.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS MOVIE TO EVERYONE. IT IS A PART OF HISTORY. I WILL GIVE IT TWO THUMBS UP!!!

In an era of green screen action movies and overdone "romantic" comedies, Argo is in a class of its own. It is thrilling, intense, fascinating mixed with comedic moments which are subtle and clever. The script, direction, acting, pacing are all masterful. I thought it was the best way to spend 2 hours.

I fidgited and squirmed in my seat until almost the very end of the movie, as it should have been, I think. I looked around a couple of times, and different people react different ways. Some were reverent, even until the last of the credits, some had no visible reaction at all. My opinion was that I appreciated the story being told. Living through that time, seemed like another news story nagging at us day after day,. It was a little more hair raising than that. I am ashamed to say I went through that passive time in my life, although being so clandestine a mission, maybe I didn't have anything to be anything more than passive about.
