What a treat --- great stars, great acting, and, what a story (and it was based on a true one). If you see this movie, make sure to watch the credits at the end.....very interesting. Ben A. did a wonderful job of acting and directing this one!

Not a huge Ben Affleck fan, but he did a good job with this one. Well paced, suspenseful (although you more or less know the outcome at the beginning) and builds nicely to the ending. Both my wife and I enjoyed it.

I wanted to see this movie because of it's political ramifications, especially with a presidential election not too far in our future. I went in knowing that the movie is based on a true story and even though this is a Hollywood production, I needed to view it as a semi-documentary. Although the end result was a satisfactory one from a human life aspect, I found it very disappointing in that how weak our government was in dealing with this situation. I thought the movie was prodding at times and my wife had to wake me up on three different occasions. What the movie did do for me is solidify my belief in the fact that this part of the world and their extremist views is something that the US will have to defend itself for not only through my lifetime, but for generations to come. I would not recommend seeing this movie at a theater, but would wait for a DVD release. I feel testament to this is the fact that tickets for this movie were on $6 for the matinee.

The film was actually quite gripping. Alan Arkin as great as he can be, also John Goodman.
I think the movie would have been even stronger if Ben Affleck had just stuck with directing rather than directing himself in it. He is a pretty wooden actor, much better behind the camera!

Best Movie out in a long time!!! Ben Affleck nailed this. Casting was incredible, John Goodman was fabulous. The storyline brings you right back to the hostage crises and if you weren't born yet, doesn't matter because the movie delivers all the elements of a blockbuster. Humor, suspense, drama. ARGO (gfy) has it all!
