I like the plot and the actors, but it needed to be funnier. It is a great movie for kids. Great for nights with your kids in your PJ's.

This movie was So-So. There was some funny parts in it but it just wasn't what I expected. 5 out of 10.

Pack in every imaginable cliche stereotype of a cold-hearted man who becomes good even tough he's in a situation he hates, every clean-cut family joke, every black person joke imaginable, and a whole lot of other worthless crap, and you'll wind up with "Are We There Yet?" Ice Cube should have stayed in rapping and avoided the whole acting career. In fact, the world would be a better place without his lousy acting and this film that speaks a new type of degrading style and awfulness. The fledgling romance between Nick (ice Cube) and Suzanne, a divorced mother of two, is threatened by a particularly harrowing New Year's Eve. When Suzanne's work keeps her in Vancouver for the holiday, Nick offers to bring her kids to the city from Portland. The kids, who have never liked any of the men their mom has dated, are determined to turn the trip into a nightmare for Nick. Every frustrating fight, messy disaster, and failure of comedy are bundled up in this 95 minute disaster of film. Not one second is fun, enthusiastic, or special at all. How this film got signed by a studios shocks me.
