    Great Wall Street Movie

    by pedsarq

Gere plays a dirty hedge fund manager who has more than dirty books to cook. He's true to the stereotypical boss in high finance with mistress and all. However, what drives the plot are his actions after a fatal car accident in which he flees the scene. This movie works well as a suspense thriller in the world of high finance.

    No Go Even VOD

    by bouvier

Watched this movie on PPV today. I now understand why they opened it simultaneously in the theaters and PPV. Uneven, choppy direction and plot. At least we saved $20.00 by seeing it at home rather then in the theater. Ending was abrupt without closure. Richard Gere's acting is excellent though.

    Arbitrage

Good flick. Moved quickly. Believable. Left out some details explaining why certain actions were taken but otherwise very entertaining

What a wicked web we weave...

    by sbdrn

Richard Gere at his best as he dips, dives & squirms out of 1 mess right into another. He never loses his cool as his life threatens to collapse around him & seems to thrive on it. Well acted & a plot that keeps you on your toes. Loved the movie - especially the ending....

    Arbitrage?????

Overrated and underdone. Title does not refer to any part of the movie. or "Dirty Stuff".Lead character is a real dunderhead. Movie is in 2 parts. First part is an accident coverup and second part relates slightly to a bad trade that results in the usual losses completely unrelated to arbitrage.Acting is okay but nothing unusual. Sex scenes are standard. A better tile for the movie might be " Unhappy Margin" or "Dirty Stuff." Either one tells part of the story better than the original title.

    ARBITRAGE - A GREAT MOVIE especially for grown-ups !!!!!!!!!!!

    by JEEKS52

"Arbitrage" - A great movie for grown-ups. The old Gerbil-meister gives a wonderful performance as a bad bad man - harkening back to his performance in "An Officer and a Gentleman." And the conclusion of the film is all too real. Susan Sarandon, Tim Roth, and the supporting cast are all great and the soundtrack is gorgeous. This film will be nominated for Academy Awards.

Richard Gere is a winner - movie itself has some weak spots and overly predictable elements, but Gere s/get an Oscar nod. Go see it today!

    Risks it all

Richard Gere is great as is the entire cast. It is a bit tough to understand at the start but as it goes along it pulls you in.

Great flix. I had to keep reminding myself Richard Gere's character was really a 'bad guy' as I was so tied up in all that was happening to him. Loved seeing a film that was not just hype, it was actually entertaining!

    Fantastic movie

Well-paced. Mature. Balanced plot. Gere is good but mostly himself. Still good. Roth does his usual thing. Also good. Standouts are Sarandon (as always) and the actor playi Gere's daughter.

Gere and Sarandon playing together are fantastic! Tim Roth is great too. Good plot and lots of New York famous spots during the film. Definitely worth seeing!

    Arbitrage

Richard Gere is as usual flat. The character development is lacking.
    Wouldn't recommend it.
