    I liked this until the end. I thought it was suspenseful enough to keep me interested. But the ending, OMG, I said "What?" It was not satisfying at all, it was like they didn't know how to end it. Up until then it was good.

    A really excellent movie. There was one unbelievable occurrence which detracted from the film but was required to set the stage for subsequent events.

    A Good Investment

    The movie begins with the financial intrigue that the title and poster image leads one to expect, but this well crafted multi-layered plot soon takes a sudden turn and thickens into something darker. Well cast and acted by all. Memorible, and all my monies worth!

    Don't listen to the bad reviews, this was a suspenseful film, very well done, great acting, worth seeing it in theaters and owning the DVD.

    In keeping with the times...

    Makes you wonder where all of the bodies are buried in real life. Great cast. Best role Richard Gere has done in a long while. Wouldn't hold breath for Oscar noms, but entertaining and worth the few hours.

    Arbitrage

    1. You do not go across the Triboro to get to Manhattan from a private plane. They land in Westchester.

    2. You cannot get to a car crash site upstate by taking I-95. It goes to Connecticut. Also I-95 has a toll in New York State.

    3. An arbitrage firm is a broker-dealer. It could not hide trading positions for as long as portrayed in the movie. A week tops. Maybe two weeks with extensive collusion. Certainly cannot hide using profits from other divisions. Firm needed to be an investment adviser to have his scheme make sense. (e.g. Bernie Madoff)

    This spoiled it for me. Stupid, stupid movie. Richard Gere was, for the first time, awful.
    Susan Sarandon was great but in a terrible movie.

    did I miss something?

    I really enjoyed everything about this movie & definitely recommend it, but the only reason the term arbitrage applies is if you consider that I'm one of the few people who saw it. So take advantage of this overlooked opportunity

    A terrific thriller

    While not as top flight as Michael Clayton, Arbitrage was a surprisingly enjoyable thriller about a ruthless guy who has a point of view.
