Great documentary, great cinema
I urge movie lovers to go see "A Place at the Table." From a purely cinematic standpoint, this movie definitely delivers. Beautiful cinematography, fascinating and empathetic characters, great story-telling, gorgeous soundtrack. I was sucked in from the opening sequence to the closing credits. And as an important piece of social commentary, I think it will change how poor people are viewed in this country. You cannot see this movie and think of people simply in terms of takers and givers. There is so much more to the story of why people end up in situations where they need a helping hand to care for themselves and their families.
