This dated, routine Indian love story offers no new insights or perspectives into the topic of romance, it is a typical tale of a woman who marries and then finds that marriage is not what she expected. The new wife is an accomplished singer but finds life in the village where her husband works as a doctor to be far from satisfying. Even after the couple has a little girl, the wife and new mother feels neglected by her busy husband and starts considering walking out.
