Different Artistic Expression

After viewing this it's almost hard to really rate it. It's bold for it's attempt at changing the format of storytelling at the same time falls somewhat flat in it's attempt of keeping this viewer engaged. And truth be told, some parts are a big YAWN and difficult to connect with. Yes, the use of illustration graphics within the film to portray a message is nice. But not new. And the desire to put one's heart onscreen in the telling of a love story is always courageous. Still at the same time, story felt somewhat repetitive and too long. Terence Nance is definitely a talented writer/director. And that this was brought to the screen through someone's generosity must say something, shouldn't it? If you're looking for a film the opposite of typical hollywood flair and that is experimental creative expression this is it.
