Seth McFarlane entertained me with "Ted". It was original, amusing at the very least, and laugh-out-loud funny several times. I did not feel the same about A Million Ways to Die in the West. The cinematographer did everything he or she could with this sophomoric material, with some of the scenes lit and filmed so beautifully I just wished the actors would shut up so I could enjoy the scenery. Maybe Liam Neeson thought this role would give him some traction with a younger generation, but instead he gives us a very generic Bad Guy, and comes off as even more of a prostitute than Sarah Silverman's giddy little overworked working girl. All the characters speak in 2014 vernacular, totally like, and that kept taking me out of the old west, and reminding me that when they were not 'winking" they were still winking. My teen grandkids chose this film for our movie outing, and I loved my grand son's one line review "I don't think Seth McFarlane will be making many more movies after this.

Somewhat Amusing

While parts of thus movie were funny and we'll written, the was a lot of juvenile attempts at humor. Also, the plot and language was unnecessarily coarse.

About what I expected

The trailers and commercials for this movie were awful, but we went anyway. It was about what I expected from Seth MacFarlane. It wasn't a great movie, but it was very good.

This was one of the most stupid yet funny movies. Don't know if I laughed at the stupidity or the actual action/content of the movie. You really need to be in a silly movie to enjoy. Some of the content was overdone and disgusting. Some was almost as good as Mel Brooks.
