Still as entertaining as it was 40 years ago!

Thank you to the Century Bella Terra Theaters in Huntington Beach for the special screening of American Graffiti. It was great seeing it again on the big screen 40 years after its original release. I had forgotten how many great lines Charlie Martin Smith (Terry the Toad) had in the film ("Come on in and I'll let you feel it." "I lost my ID...in a flood..." "I'll be dead soon and it'll be over."), along with Candy Clark's line that my wife reminds me of to this day: "Girls don't pay, guys pay!" Five stars - a classic.

This is an American Classic...we have this one on DVD, but wouldn't miss seeing it again and again on the big screen. The only problem, I thought was with the sound. Generally the theatre is almost too loud, this one I had to really listen because of the volume. The soundtrack for this movie is incredible...and Wolfman Jack is an icon. It is so amazing to see so many young actors in their first major film and where they are today. Richard Dreyfuss, Ron Howard, Harrison Ford, Mackenzie Phillips, Cindy Williams were such young stars beginning their careers and did an amazing job. If you are from the era...the cars are amazing and bring back so many awesome memories. Not a movie for kids.

This George Lucas classic is a must see for movie buffs. See great performances by Ron Howard, Richard Dreyfus, and a then unknown Harrison Ford in a minor role. Classic Hot Rods, and a great soundtrack add to this classic about life in a small northern California town (Modesto).
