    Denzel is the MAN

    As usual another fine performance by Denzel. Ruby Dee was just excellent and ages gracefully like fine wine. Great ensemble performance by all.

    slow but good

    it has its actions moments which are good but otherwise the gaps between are a bit slow. very good plot line though. its worth seeing

    Good Movie

    It was good, but I expected more blood & Killing. It was actually all about cocaine, which I didn't think it was going to be about. I guess I thought I would see the more regular italian mafia movie.

    LOVED IT!

    I love Denzel to begin with, but this movie had so much more to it than I expected and I really, really enjoyed it. Most great movies never have the ending you would like to see, but I was still ok with that!

    definitely not what I expected. Not a lot of action, I thought it was too hyped up in previews. They basically showed you the best parts. But, I did think was well directed. Most of the movie was scrawny naked black women cooking up heroine, but if your into that kind of stuff than be my guest, you'll probably love it.

    American Gangster

    The previews lead you to believe that there was going to be a lot more voilence like a Scarface type of flick. However, this movie was to nice. Thank god for the superb acting of Denzel and Russell Crowe. I can't leave without saying that Cuba Gooding stole the show from all the rest of them like he did to Tom Cruise in Jerry McGuire. I want them to do a spin-off staring Cuba's character as the lead!!!!!

    Denzel is the best actor of our generation. Totally breathes each role he is cast in. Powerful story and portrayal of a character.
