ok my title might be a little over the top, but this was a great movie. scott did a superb job directing and denzel and crow were at the top of their game. good good film. 4 out 5 bags of popcorn
Well acted and a powerful indication of what we're up against in this country with the drug culture....where the commody is sold with unique marketing ideas and pure ruthlessness....
I love watching these movies, gangs/cops/drugs and money, the perfect combination to a(n) awesome movie. Denzel had played his role just right. Denzel and Cuba are in my top ten favorite actor list.
Like Oh My God can Denzel Washignton act. I definetly recommend not just to agree with every one else but because this movie was great. I mean how it all began to how it ended. Just interesting I actually went to the theatre by myself to see this movie i old not wait for my date and was glad i was there by myself and no one was there to talk to me because i was so into the movie. Everything from the characters to the plot. I wonder what happened to the Human Denzel portrayed does any one know if he is still alive? I could not believe he would be with all the things he did. I mean Denzel's acting is so good he made me believe he was really a gangster. Go see i could go on and on . Just go see. Sad the downfall of this man was his girlfriend buying him a gift but isnt that how life works. When you got money you gotta act liek you dont have it so those who dont wont try to take it from you. But when we dont have money we act like we do.
This movie was awesome. The development of charachters was very well done when the movie acuall has one routing for a gangster that has built an empire by wholeselling heroin and smuggleing it into the country in the caskets of fallen Vietnam soldier's caskets. That takes some acting on Washington's part, but he pulls it off without a hitch. Russell Crowe does a remarkable job finding his man behind the infamous"Blue Magic" brand of almost poure heroin that has built Denzel's empire to unbelievable heights. A great realistic look into the underworld and power struggles of good verses evil when the sides are very confusing.
