This was an accurate account of Ameilia's life as a flier and as a woman of the 1930's. It really showed how much of a heroine she was for woman and their right to make their own choices about life, career, and sex. I think Hilary Swank was fantastic and really pulled it off. Always sad at the end of course but inspiring none the less.

Beautiful Period Piece

"Amelia" is a beautiful period piece with excellent performances by the cast, especially Hillary Swank. Ms. Swank is absolutely perfect as Amelia Earhart, down to the inflection in her voice. The movie's sets and costumes are picture perfect. The movie may seem a little slow in places to some, but it is an adventure to be savored. I loved it.

This movie has lots of potential to be a great film, but somehow it just didn't come together. I liked pieces of it, but as a whole the story was choppy. The romance between Amelia and her two men was especially weakly portrayed. Didn't care much for the ending either.
