Epic Movie!

This movie has an awesome ending to the batman trilogy. It's breathtaking and awe-inspiring throughout the entire movie. Don't expect to fall in love with the villain in this movie or any of the characters, except Batman. Batman really shines in this movie, but other than that, the movie is great because it beautifully continues the story and finishes off the legend with an epic ending. Also, the action is pretty intense in this movie too!

Awesome movies...but I will never sit in a theater for 9.5 hours again. Especially when the IMax AMC Mission Valley theater's air conditioning was broken. Was horrible.

Trilogy marathon

Watched the "marathon" with Rises starting at midnight. Rises was well worth staying up into the late hours, adding the other two was incredible! The toys are a little overboard, but the action & story was great! Definitely a must see.

I love it for what it was.

Was it the best of the trilogy? No. Was it amazing in its scope, story, and conclusion? Absolutely. Listen, we're not going to get better than Heath ledger's Joker. I'm confident in saying he's my generation's Taxi Driver. It was a defining moment, but we can't measure everything against it. Remember, this trilogy isn't about Batman, it's about Bruce Wayne. Rises continues to explore Wayne's story. You might be disappointed by aspects of the movie (some other review said it wasn't "funny enough". Didn't know I was supposed to be seeing a comedy.). You might be disappointed by Bane's voice (I was never in favor of changing it). You won't be disappointed by the epic conclusion. If you're like me, your biggest disappointment will be that you can't live in Nolan's Gotham anymore. It was an amazing ride.

This film truly rises up to its expectations.

In all honesty, I wasn't 100% sure on what to expect. With Nolan signing off as director after this film, it could've taken any direction, therefore (ashamed to say this now, but it was how I felt initially), I was a bit worried as to what we were going to see. Be that as it may, I maintained my faith in Christopher Nolan & co. and took his word that in order for him to make a third Dark Knight film, that (in his mind) it would have to live up to "The Dark Knight" or be better. And luckily enough, much like Lucius Fox in the end of the "The Dark Knight", my faith was rewarded. Nolan has crafted not only another killer addition to The Dark Knight saga, but he has created a true, solid ending to the trilogy, bringing themes & emotions from the first 2 films & infusing them into the theme of this film as well. Watching all 3 back-back was a treat as well :) In short, Nolan created the ultimate DK finale, a killer superhero movie that never loses its humanity, but instead builds on it.
