    AMAZING

I watched this movie for my French class because I had to write a paper on a french film. At first I wasn't sure, but I really loved the movie. I made two of my friends watch it, and when they heard it was subtitled they nearly threw a fit. But after the movie had started, they refused to let me pause it for anything! Audrey Tautou is captivating, and this movie is an eccentric and hilarious film that you will enjoy whether you understand the French or not.

    Wasn't sure....BUT I LOVED IT!!

After I saw La Vie En Rose, I decided to start viewing French movies. They have a lot more depth then American movies. Foreign films are better. Period.

Anyways, this was the second French movie I had seen. I watched it, but I wasn't sure. It's a very different movie. Very different way to tell a story. Then I realized you can't help but love it. The character of Amelie is effortlessly charming. Audrey Tautou is an amazing actress herself, so it would be kind of hard for her to mess this movie up. I liked the way the director gave interesting little back stories for insignificant characters. I thought that was uniquely different and funny.

Overall, very good movie. Should have won Best Foreign Film at the Academy Awards.

A movie for aesthetically hungry moviegoers: wildly amusing, sometimes sardonic...

There is no denying that Amélie is, to paraphrase its title, fabulous.
