Looks pretty good, but it's worth the wait.

Here we go again, another '60s cartoon show has made it into a live-action movie. Beware: These are CGI chipmunks, NOT 2-D. Jason Lee (My Name is Earl, Underdog) has his plate full as The Chipmunks' Manager, David Seville. I think this movie be one several films on the hottest holiday films list.

Chipmunks Get a Bad Repution

Alvin, Simon, and Theodore are all present and accounted for (just like in "The Chipmunk Song"), but not as you remember them. These crude computer generations should have been scrapped in the earliest stages of the film and replaced by the chipmunks as they appeared in their 1980s television series. Or better graphics (though no one makes a good cartoon anymore). There are a few laughs, but all of them cheap; neither the plot nor the human characters salvage the fate of "Alvin and the Chipmunks".

I grew up on Alvin & The Chipmunks music and was in no way going to miss out on this chance to relive some of my childhood. I was not disappointed! Although not a fan of some of the music performed by the little chippers, I couldn't resist their charm! I will happily buy a DVD when it comes out and keep it as one of my all-time favorite feel-good movies! A DELIGHT TO SEE FOR THE ENTIRE FAMILY!!

Alvin & the Chipmunks was a favorite when I was a child. With the vastly improved special effects & graphics over the original, this is a masterful remake. Took my son to see this & we both really enjoyed it. Would recommend it to anyone who is an A&C fan or anyone with children wanting to see something the whole family can enjoy. Fantastic, great, clean humor & fun!

I love Jason Lee

I'm wild about MY NAME IS EARL, but it appears the Mr. Lee can't act with imaginary objects. There are many times in this movie that he just looks akward. It made me feel sorry for DAVE, but not because of the cir***stances in the movie. I love the chipmunks and grew up on them, so the movie was okay ... just okay.
