    Alvin and the Chipmunks

This was a great movie. I took my 5 year old niece, but I enjoyed it as well. It reminded me of when I was a child and loved the chipmunks. Some of the humor I don't think she got because it referenced other adult movies. It was funny and fun to watch. Great for any age

Yeah the Chipmunks do it again for a fun island adventure

I took my boys ages 9, 11 and 13 and it was a fun family event before Christmas. We love the Chipmunks and the Chipettes. I hear my boys walking around the house saying one word that was used in the movie. PRECIOUS. That is my word for the movie as well.

Sweet little Chipmucks Alvin and his gang

I have always loved Alvin & the Chipmucks since I was a child, I'm now 51. My husband and I went to see Alvin & the Chipmunks Shipwrecked and we were the only couple there without children. We loved it, and so did others in theather no one made a peep. Another reason we wanted to see the movie was because of the Carnival Dream Ship. We were on the Carnival Dream Oct. 2010, and yes it was the Dream in the movie. I also bought tickets for my Grandchildren that live in another state to go see the move ages 3-15. They loved it as well. I would tell anyone it's a must GO SEE MOVIE. Well done and 100 stars to Alvin and the Chipmunks Shipwrecked!!

    Loved it!

I am a Grandmother of two adorable kids (of course!), aged six and one. My daughter and I took them to see this movie on opening day and we all enjoyed it, even my one year old grandson. Humor for both adults and children sprinkled throughout the movie. I recommend it for any age! Cute, cute movie.

    Kids liked it

Chipwrecked was a decent movie. I took four kids to see it and they enjoyed it. I was a bit bored, but it was for them and they had fun so that's what matters.

    Good for kids

I took my 5 year old son to this movie. He liked it quite a bit. I thought it was ok for a kids movie. I wasn't dreading sitting there watching it with him.

    Surprisingly funny..HOWEVER

Ok, a kids movie that I as an adult actually laughed most of the way through.
On a PARENTAL side note..there was a reference to Snoop Dog (yes the rapper) lighting up a joint, I thought this was an unnecessesary drug reference.
Secondly, the entire last 2/3 of the movie spoofs the Tom Hanks film Castaway.. with tons of references to that movie, ..does FOX really think children will understand those references? I laughed becuase I know the movie Castaway, ...however my 4 year old could not understant what was funny about all of those many references in the film.
Funny how they also use music from the 1980's (GoGo's Vacation song) over and over as if it was just cheaper to pay to use those old songs from that era than to use music kids would have more reference to from their generation.
The Ian character making two refences to the fact that he was naked inside of his duck costume was unnecessary, isn't this a kids movie after all?
This is for kids aged 10+ in my opinion. Caution

Taming of the 4 yr old

One of a few movies that my 4 yr old grandson did not want to be taken for a restroom break 2 or 3 times because he was bored. He stayed glued to the screen to the very last scene. Thank you Alvin and company

My little one loves Alvin and the Chipmunks so I was very happy to see that a new movie was coming out. The movie was very funny and we both enjoyed it. Loved the music and great acting by the new additions to the film also. Definitely a must see!

    Alvin and the Chipmunks

    by Candy04

I am 32 years old and I grew up with Alvin and the Chipmunks. The entire movie keeps you on your toes the whole time. There is not one moment that is not exciting.
The entire story line was creative and hilarious. The director and the cast of the movie did a terrific job! I couldn?t have asked for more. The movies was spectacular!

    Good family fun!!

I took my nephew to see this one this morning. Very family-friendly and good fun. Was really silly at times, but for the most part, had plenty of adult humor and the singing/performance pieces were really amazing. Overall, I was entertained and the youngster was too. I'd recommend this as a matinee movie-going experience - for prime time, though...you might want to look elsewhere.
