While fondly recalling the opening theme music of The Milton Berle Show, Gloria and Mike receive a letter stating that Gloria has been fired from her job. Once Mike has come to grips with the fact that he will be forced to be the family breadwinner, a new plot tangent develops when Gloria's chauvinistic boss (George Furth) admits that he fired her because she is pregnant -- and then virtually dares her to do something about it.
