If it was not for Matthew Fox this movie would be a NO for me. Richard Simmons would have been a better pic for Cross. Save your money at the box office and just rent it.

It was good to see Tyler Perry in a movie that would give him the opportunity to show his diversity. He portrayed Alex unlike Morgan Freeman, but it was believable and enjoyable.
The movie had great action scenes, although somewhat predictable in most action.

It was nice to see Tyler Perry like this. He WAS Alex Cross. It was kinda funny though because at one point when he was using an elevated voice to get a point across Madea started to come through. He caught it though. It wasn't too long and it seems like they left it at a good point for a second installation. Go see it!

YES! Tyler Perry is KNOWN for being Madea... YES! There were times in the film that I was reminded of Madea. And YES! It's hard to separate the two at first. BUT - He worked his behind off at that character, so much respect. And, once you get past the initial skepticism you have about him playing this type of role, you'll be able to see the movie for the great acting, emotion, character, and writing it really has to offer. Just go in open-minded and give him a shot and you won't be disappointed. I WASN'T! And I know he's only going to keep getting better. "MUCH RESPECT!"

My husband and I went to see the movie. We both like Tyler Perry's movies and we both read James Patterson's book so we were looking forward to seeing this movie. I think that the movie is a must see even though it does not follow the book to the letter. I was very pleased with the action, suspense and drama. Please go see it and take someone or a few people with you. As readers of the book and a fan of Tyler Perry, you will find yourselves discussing the movie and book with a sense of enthusiasm. I think Tyler Perry delivered us a modern, sexy and intelligent Alex Cross and I hope Morgan Freeman shares this point of view. He was our first Alex Cross and I think the baton was sucessfully passed on to Tyler Perry.
