Deborah Voight and Susan Graham in top form and newcomer Bryan Hymel a sensation. Noteworthy that this production does so well with a mostly American cast. The bass, Kwangchul Youn, however, was a bit weak by comparison, lacking a full-bodied richness. The whole opera is unnecessarily long at nearly five hours, with at least an hour-and-a-half of excess, but that's nobody's faulty but Berlioz's!
