I took my son (9) and daughter (7) to Nim's Island. Very good movie, from the opening titles. The premise was cool to them, even though the back-story was a sad topic (death of mom). Sort of Swiss Family Robinson, carved down to two. Jodie Foster as a neurotic writer was a pleasant surprise, and the ending is a feel-good one. I would have rated the movie overall a bit higher, but the cruise ship premise was a bit cheesy - although fun for the kids. Warning: the flying lizards are *hilarious!!*. Have fun at Nim's Island!
