The voices were in top shape even Placido Domingo who is 70 years old. The Metropolitan Opera did a good job of integrating modern technology with standard stage sets and equipment. The story was a little unusual combing 2 of W.Shakespear's plays A Mid Summer's Night Dream with The Tempest. The music although a pastiche flowed smoothly even with 3 composers. One character spoken about throughout the opera was introduced rather late. His first aria could have been at the opening of the second act. I enjoyed the opera but it is not one I would see again very soon.
