Rodelinda was an enjoyable evening of opera from the Metropolitan at Lincoln center. It was a pleasure to see Baroque opera revived. Having two counter tenors in the production is lucky as this is a less than common vocal achievement. One counter tenor (the role of Betarido - Andreas Scholl) struggled with some high notes. His speaking voice is more baritone, this may be a cause. The conducter was apt at interpreting Handel and the harpsichords added much to the baroque flavor. It is still favorable to see opera live.
