Really beautiful film. A love letter to the birth of cinema. I think I would have enjoyed it equally had I seen the 2D version, though. I don't think 3D added that much to my enjoyment of the film. But otherwise everything about this movie was pure delight! We take movies for granted in 2011, but the film really makes you ponder what the first movie goes saw and felt a century or so ago, and the wonder of seeing moving images that tell a story for the very first time. The modern day equivalent, perhaps, of going to your first website or receiving your first IM. I LOVED this movie! I thought it was going to be a silly, if not entertaining, fantasy kiddie holiday movie. But it wasn't that at all. I mean, kids will love it, but it's not a kiddie movie; adults will appreciate it even more.
