The story line was disappointing. Most swordfighting scenes were well done, but I was very disappointed with the script. While at first the departure from the standard '3 musketeers story' was intriguing, it quickly became very cheesy. That coupled with a few slow motion scenes that were just too far fetched to ever be true, is what earned this movie a disappointing report from me.

With the 3 Musketeers, you don't expect the story to be all believable, but it must be somewhat believable. This story line just went into the obscenely impossible and as a result, lost my attention and devotion. I might see it in the theater only due to the action scenes, otherwise, DVD can be waited on. Instead of it being more in the original vein, it was more like a Pirates of the Caribbean meets the 3 Musketeers.
