I was so thrilled to be able to see Stephen Sondheim's Company on the screen because when it was performed at Lincoln Center, the ticket prices were way beyond my budget. This is one of Sondheim's best musicals, musically speaking. You want to sing along with most of the songs because they're fun. Some of the dialogue is too talky though. Neil Patrick Harris makes a good Bobby and, my goodness, his good looks hold up on the big screen even with closeups! I enjoyed Stephen Colbert as Harry also. Who knew he could carry a tune? The only thing that was lacking was the intermission that we would have gotten had we gone to the actual show. 2 1/2 hours without a bathroom break is a little tricky for some of us.
