This movie was pretty dull. The plot is pretty much all summed up in the opening exposition. The only character with any sort of depth is the main protagonist (and maybe one supporting character). The rest are all one-note background figures. The villain doesn't even have a name that I can remember (if he had one at all). None of the characters show any kind of emotional depth; they're all brooding or cynical, often both. The action sequences are pretty good, admittedly, but they alone don't hold up a film. Also, why call them vampires? They could have made them anything: mutants, demons, aliens, an ancient race from another dimension. But no, they went with vampires, most likely to try and appeal to the pre-existing vampire fan community. This movie was like a grittier reboot of Ultravoilet, and I would NOT recommend wasting the money to see it.
