Good day to stick a fork in this franchise
by
The Die Hard series has been iconic over the years, but this latest movie feels phoned in. Almost all the action scenes are beyond belief, and the touchy-feely stuff is way out of place. When you add this to the sketchy plot, you have a mess of a movie.
If I had to speculate as to why they put out this film disaster, I would guess that they are trying to set up Jack McLaine's character to take over from father John McLaine. If this is the best they can do, though, it's not worth the effort.
Glad I rented it on demand for $5.00 instead of paying $20 in a theater!
