McClane Rides Again!

Nothing boring about this film. End to end action but a tad short on a real plot this time around. Still, who would dare balk at this generation's John Wayne? Willis fills that bill Pilgrim and then some. See this movie. It's worth the ticket price. You won't be disappointed.

Very Disappointed

How awful that this will probably be the last Die Hard movie. After the previous Live Free of Die Hard which I thought was one of the best in the Die Hard series, I was hoping for another good story and directing. Sadly if you go to see this, you'll find neither. The story is just dumb and the timeline of the story makes no sense. I don't know who to blame more for making such a terrible film; John Moore's directing, Alex Young and Wyck Godfrey's producing or Skip Woods screen play. In reality it should be all three. From the CIA operating remote Drones over Moscow with apparently the Russian Air force oblivious to it, a car chase involving some type of armored car that the Moscow police can't stop to a bi-polar antagonist the story just stinks. Then to add salt to the wound, a ridiculous sub-plot is attempted involving Bruce Willis attempting to establish a lost relationship with his estranged son Jack played by Jai Courtney. Save your money, don't go!

Wait for Home Viewing

I have seen all of the movies in the series. This movie was just like playing CoD 4. Watch it and you will see what I mean (don't want to put in spoilers). Pro: Plenty of action scenes and loud noises Con: This one really digressed from the original series with lack of plot and balance of realistic action scenes with feelings of true despair. I wouldn't see it in theaters, but would rent it.

A Good Day Indeed

A Good Day to Die Hard felt more like a true Die Hard than Live Free or Die Hard, so that's one positive right off the bat. This series has never been about character development, it's about heavy action, light comedy, and just enough of a mystery to hold it together. Good Day delivers on all those points. Willis's McClane ages well for the role, as simply an everyday cop with excellent common sense who is extremely hard to kill. The chemistry he has with his character's son is believable enough for an action movie. Don't expect an Oscar contender, this is just a fun movie.

Action packed from the start and you can tell that Bruce is getting old but it was a great side kick role to his son. I think if they keep making die hard movies this could be a passing of the torch to Jr. Great story and its still not better than Die Hard with a Vengeance! I am on vacation was the highlight and wish they would of had his wife in some point of the movie and it would of made for a great reunion movie. Heartfelt ending and great movie overall!
