The critics that say this movie is bad are absurd... This is one of the best Die Hard Movies for one reason and one reason only...it was nonstop action at its best!!! The writing and dialogue might not have been as on point or dramatic as some of the previous movies however what I loved most about this was the fact that Bruce was John McClaine!! He was his character through the whole movie. Meaning that he felt familiar like an old friend his mannerisms his facial expressions everything was perfect..Jai I am not too familiar with but he played his role well..The film angles and screen tricks made the action look awesome hardly any spots where it looked like CGI or model work...Nothing was too over the top and it was never boring...The beginning of the movie was nonstop adrenaline and had me on the edge of my seat it seemed fluid and even though it was long I did not want it to end...Overall Movie I give it an A... One of the best action films of the year!

Worth going to see if your a Bruce Willis fan and a fan of the series. If you normally let kids see this kind of movie, it's relatively safe for anyone age 5 and up. Enjoy.

The reason why the first Die Hard was so good was that Bruce Willis back in the day had a good sense of humor and it was BELIEVABLE that he could survive the situations he was in.
This movie was like watching a video game - zero plot development and there wasn't remotely a chance that the characters would have survived any of the exchanges of gunfire, explosions, or helicopter crashes.
I too fell asleep half way through, didn't feel like I missed anything. Zero Dark Thirty? I was on the edge of my seat for three hours.

I love Die Hard. I watch it every Christmas no matter where I am or who I am with. "Ho, Ho, Ho". It has so many memorable moments and great character elements weaved into the plot, it stands out in the sea of generic action flicks that have come and gone throughout the ages. Sadly, the franchise hasn't been so lucky.
They don't give me enough space here to say what I really want to say about this movie and the franchise, but I'll just leave it at this: A Good Day to Die Hard is a bunch of big explosions tied together by weak and possibly even more unbelievable dialogue. It doesn't know if it wants to be a Jason Bourne spy movie or a more traditional Die Hard action movie. Sadly, it fails at both. Courtney Jai could preform some great hand-to-hand action scenes and I'm fairly sure Bruce could as well, but the action in this movie is delegated to waving machine guns around in the air and huge, ungodly explosions.
No memorable moments or dialogue, no redeeming qualities.

Loved the first set of movies, but this one just didn't seem to be up to par. Good movie to rent or buy if you are collecting the series, but otherwise somewhat disappointing. By itself it was a good movie. Put next to the previous Die Hards, just wasn't there.
