Weak storyline which all the explosiions couldn't revive

This was the worst of the Die Hard movies made. It's not that John MacLean is getting old, its that the story line was so thin that they keep having to blow things up just to keep you distracted. Straight to video is what this movie was designed for.

Great action flick!

I like Bruce Willis as an actor, therefore I like the film. Fantastic action chase scenes and a decent twist in the plot. I will probably buy the DVD when it is available to add to my Die Hard collection. I hope this is not the last one in the series but the beginning of more to come.

Only for the most die hard of fans

Easily the worst of the franchise and might be the worst movie of the year. I'm a huge Die Hard fan and was willing to cut a lot of slack, but even I couldn't believe how little creative effort went into this film. There can't be more than 1,000 words of dialogue (including subtitles) and none of it was memorable in the least. I wasn't expecting much of a plot, but I had hoped for something that at least made some sense. The performances are mailed in. And the action scenes were noisy but, amazingly, grew tedious. Near the end, Bruce Willis is in the process of doing another crazy act and says something like "the sh#t a father will do for his children", and I think it was an apology to his own real children for taking the paycheck to do this stink pile.

Die Hard on the Ropes?

I greatly enjoyed the stunt work/action scenes. However, the story line seemed to be lacking. There wasn't enough character development within the movie for you to feel impassioned to the characters. Humor was lacking compared to other Die Hard movies also.

This was my choice for Valentine's Day date and I loved it. This movie did what a movie is supposed to do entertain you. We enjoyed escaping for the afternoon and early evening with a good action flick. Always love Bruce Willis and newcomer Jai Courtney is not hard on the eyes either!
